WINDOWSCAPE II, CHARCOAL AND LIGHTS, 2024, 4’x2’ (RIGHT)

This series captures moments of connection as seen through open windows. I made these drawings to preserve my memories with my grandparents. Returning to a memory is like looking through a window of a locked house, but even with this limitation it is beautiful. In Windowscape II, there are slowly twinkling lights concealed behind a sheet of vellum, depicting the shared energy and emotion between the two figures.
OLD FRIENDS, INTAGLIO ETCHING, 2025, 24”x12”
-
Old Friends is dedicated to people I can sit in comfortable silence with and inspired by my love of community gardens. I used à la poupée to incorporate color into this print, particulalry highlighting the glowing hearts in the figures.
UNDER CONSTRUCTION, PHOTOGRAPHY AND SCULPTURE, 2020
-
I made Under Construction in response to how drastically the landscapes I grew up with have changed in my lifetime. Soft horizon lines are rapidly being replaced with geometric ones, and the impact of this transformation will be reflected in the way we think and the way we see the world going forward, which is represented by the angular headpiece.
ALL AT ONCE, WALNUT INK, 2025, 24”x12”
-
Walnut ink illustration based on fossilization and vast timescales.

BOWERBIRD SERIES, 2021
-
Bowerbird is a photo series that I started independently and made into a book. The title, Bowerbird, is based on the bird's nesting habits. Bowerbirds collect and sort objects by color and organize them in piles around an arch-like nest. For this project, I reflected on my early childhood and created color coded assemblages of my most important possessions and arranged them around a stool that I often had my picture taken on as a child. Essentially, these photographs are object self portraits. There are 14 different color groupings, each paired with a list of every item shown.
